Cherry Blossoms
After an unusually tough winter in the Washington, D.C. area, I don’t think springtime was ever more welcomed. Like an annual rite of passage we make our yearly pilgrimage down to the cherry blossoms. Not even the hordes of tourists can detract from its pleasures. It is truly a magical time. I look upon these delicate pink blossoms as a miracle of nature. Perhaps some will consider this spectacular scene as trite––but I think an artist should paint the things that have meaning in one’s life.
